Airline launches new daily service between Trinidad and Canada
Canadian airline WestJet announced last week the launch of a daily, non-stop service between Toronto and Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. The new service is a demonstration of the confidence the company has in the economic activity in Trinidad to generate sufficient traffic and the growing importance of the island nation in the region.
The new service helps to strengthen Trinidad’s advantage as a strategically located and well-connected gateway to North and South America. The country is easily accessible to many major cities throughout the world. The Piarco International Airport, with its 16-gate terminal, is a vital hub for international air traffic in the region.
