InvesTT , Consulate General for Miami Team up to Host Potential Investors
Miami, FL. A clarion call for greater investment into the non-energy sectors of Trinidad and Tobago was sounded by InvesTT Trinidad and Tobago Limited (InvesTT) at a networking cocktail-event hosted on Tuesday 28th April, 2015 by the Consulate General of Trinidad and Tobago for Miami, Florida, the Honorable Dr. Anil Ramanann. InvesTT is Trinidad and Tobago’s investment promotion agency under the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Investment and Communications. The event came at the end of the two day Caribbean Hotel and Resort International Symposium (CHRIS) which was held in Miami from 27th to 28th April 2015 and sought to capture the interest of potential investors attending the conference and the extensive Caribbean Diaspora in Miami.
The well-attended event saw keen interest in existing investment opportunities in various sectors such as tourism, agribusiness and manufacturing, said InvesTT Sourcing Officer, Ms. Florence Ghany.
The event allowed potential investors to meet and explore possible investment opportunities with Vice President, Investor Sourcing, Shyamal Chandradathsingh and Deputy Chairman, Richie Sookhai of InvesTT, who along with Ms. Ghany were on hand to turn investment interest into tangible opportunities on the ground. In a separate release the Consulate reaffirmed its commitment to further develop Trinidad and Tobago and to continue to stand strong by its mandate to encourage the country’s economic growth via the fostering of trade and investment from the global sector into our twin-island republic.
