InvesTT has successfully secured TT$1.48 billion in investment commitments for local and foreign projects during the first three years of its four-year strategic plan (Fiscal 2021-2024), spanning from 2021 to 2023. The most recent Fiscal year, ending in September 2023, witnessed a remarkable achievement as InvesTT recorded its highest investment value in three years, totaling TT$719 million in Local and Foreign Direct Investment. This accomplishment reflects an impressive 159% growth compared to the TT$278 million in committed investments seen in 2021.

Consistently high satisfaction rates from local and foreign investors.

Based on investor satisfaction surveys undertaken quarterly by InvesTT recorded an average rate of 92% satisfaction with its investor services over the last 2 fiscal years and a rate of 90% satisfaction with InvesTT in the last survey taken in March 2023.

Maintaining a high level of client satisfaction is part of the IPA’s strategy to generate more direct investment into the country. In the March survey, local and foreign investors who have engaged InvesTT’s investment facilitation services rated the agency highly (between 8 and 10, where 10 is the highest) in the following areas:

  • Timeliness and level of response
  • Quality of information provided
  • Connection to stakeholders
  • Overall services provided
  • Likelihood to recommend InvesTT to colleagues
  • Likelihood to continue working with InvesTT

A double-target achievement in Fiscal 2022.

For the fiscal year ended September 2022, InvesTT facilitated TT$486.3Mn in investments, representing a 70% increase from the prior year and a doubling of its targets. These results equate closely with InvesTT’s 3-year average of TT$400Mn/yr in investments facilitated pre-pandemic (2016 to 2018). T&T’s local business climate doubled down and invested TT$345.5Mn while foreign direct investment totalled TT$140.8Mn. The BPO industry dominated our foreign interest with four new investments, citing the skill, articulation and warmth of our people as our biggest asset.
